..... LOVE IS IN THE AIR .....

Armeria alpina Willd. Or mountain thrift Botanical Illustration - 1828
Here at Maps of Antiquity, we simply cannot imagine anything more romantic than the gift of antique ephemera. Thoughtfully present this year's Valentine with an immortal paper bouquet, or a map of the place where you met, or married, or honeymooned. With our framed antique postcards, you can assemble a whole series; your very own timeline of love! You may not be able to give that special someone the literal moon and stars, but we just bet your sweetheart will swoon with delight at the sight of a celestial map thereof. If you lack inspiration, give us a location; we'll help Cupid's arrow find its mark.

Of course, if you prefer to spend the winter snuggled inside with a cup of cocoa and a good book, we certainly don't blame you!  We hear that Hygge is all the rage these days, and looking at antique maps seems like a very cozy activity.  Or maybe you're looking for a good map-related book for your winter reading...

Warm up with Maps

Ok, they will not actually warm you, but you could turn up your heat and pretend to be in the tropics!

Of course, not everyone loves winter!  For all of the folks who are just surviving the cold and hoping for an early Spring, we have lots of maps and prints to remind you of warmer days!
