We also will have with us in Miami a selection of our antique nautical charts and antique coastal report charts. This antique report chart, by the U.S. Coast Survey, 1860, in excellent condition, of the Chesapeake Bay, Delaware, part of Maryland, and the Delaware Bay, has been hand colored by our artist. See MAT067 .
Beautifully restored antique maps by Hermann Moll, including this hand colored engraved antique map of the entirety of Asia, from Turkey in the west to Japan in the east, from Moll's " The World Described", London, c. 1732. See ASI035.
We had a great selection of antique maps and nautical charts from our collection, including this hand colored antique folding tourist map of Europe, circa 1869, by Cruchley. In 40 sections, folded into a book-like cover. This map shows railway and steamship routes, roads and routes, and has extraordinary, rich original color. See EUR475 .
Tucked away on Rt.28(Main Street) on the way into Chatham we found this fabulous shop located in a historic house that is also a affordable B+B. The maps are works of art! Everything from reproductions to ancient maps, all at very reasonable prices. We always find great pieces and the owners are friendly and extremely knowledgable.
with maps of antiquity i found a quality selection of facinating and unique maps and reproductions. their sincere interest in me as a customer, and the service they provided to me was beyond compare. anyone looking for quality, service, and fair pricing will be very pleased with them and with their fine selections.
I no longer live on Cape Cod, but always stop by the shop when I am in the area. They have so many cool things – not just maps! I first discovered the shop after receiving a 1917 map of the Chatham coastline as a gift. Since then I have purchased three maps (two reproductions and one original) for gifts which have drawn lots of ooohs and ahhs from the recipients. For myself I have an 1800s reproduction print of San Francisco Bay as well as a hand painted original plate from a french natural history book depicting several seabirds. Plenty of items (reproductions AND originals) in the $25 – $50 range so there is something for everyone. The owners are always unbelievably friendly and helpful. Be sure to ask if you don’t see what you are looking for because they just don’t have room to display everything, but they certainly know where everything is filed away. Highly recommended!
