Antique hand colored map from "A Complete Historical, Chronological, And Geographical American Atlas ... ", by Carey & Lea, 1827. Despite being called a war, no battles were ever fought. Surrounded by text with information on topography and water bodies, soil, climate, towns, commerce, education, religion, government, population and history. Good condition, slightly darkened along center glue line, overall toning, some light staining, and some tears at the paper edges. Measures approx. 16.5 x 20.5 inches to the outer neatline.
