United States United States General
Antique printed color page of two statistical maps of the United States, based on census data. The first map shows the average production of coal, by tons per square mile, in the U.S. in 1890. The second map shows the location of localities producing iron ore in 1889, and is colored to show the different forms of ore produced (consisting of red hematite, brown hematite, magnetite, and carbonate.) Both maps label half of Oklahoma as "Indian Territory" and include some topographical detail. Very good condition with some toning of the antique paper. By Henry Gannett, in The Statistical Atlas of the United States- Eleventh Census, 1898. Measures approximately 17.75" x 13" to include both maps and their titles. (Note: These two maps can be separated, if desired. Please contact us if this is of interest.)
