Antique black and white map from the "Atlas Encyclopedique" by Bonne, 1787. Includes the Great Lakes, Hudson Bay, and early depictions of Lake Winnipeg and Lake of the Woods. Rivers stretching west suggest the hope of a Northwest passage. Quebec, Montreal, and Toronto are marked on this map but Ottawa was not founded until the early 1800s. Good to very good condition with a few spots mostly in the margins, and rough paper edges. Measures approx. 9.25 x 13.5 inches to the neatline.

Walling and published by George N. Tackabury, 1875. These maps show some topography, railroads, and major cities and towns, and are colored by town with darker lines delineating counties. Good antique condition with overall toning, some mild staining particularly in the margins. Manitoba map measures approx. 15 x 19 inches to the neatline. New Brunswick map measures approx. 12 x 15 inches to the neatline. Nova Scotia map measures approx. 11 x 15 inches to the neatline. Parts of some maps extend past the neatline. Antique double-sided sheet from Tunison's Peerless Universal Atlas of the World, c. 1888 by H.C. Tunison. The two-page centerfold is a map of part of Canada including Ontario and Quebec. There are two maps on the back: on one side is a map of Manitoba (a relatively recent creation from 1870), on the other side is a map of the Maritimes with an inset map of Newfoundland. Vibrant original color. Fair to good antique condition with some minor stains and smudges, and some small wrinkles. The strike on some pages in this atlas is a bit faint. Centerfold measures approx. 14 x 22 inches to the paper edges, while back side maps measure approx. 14 x 11 inches.
