Antique printed color pictorial map of the state of Florida, by Dave Mink, 1951. This map notes the locations of national parks, state parks, national forests, and supposed buried treasure! Also includes towns, local flora and fauna, beaches, state symbols (e.g. the State Shell, Flower, etc.,)and points of interest (e.g. Edison's home, Iron Mt., "the world's most unusual drug store," etc.) The decorative border includes images of birds, reptiles, and animals in Florida at the left, native fish and their average weights at the right, and historical events/scenes at the top and bottom- including the five flags that have flown over the state (Spanish, English, French, Confederate, and the American flag.) Good to very good overall antique condition with some mild toning throughout, and some creasing/wrinkling at the outer edges with a few small tears. Measures approximately 18.25" x 22.25" to the outer edge of the decorative border.
