Carte de l'Isle O-Taiti - Maker: Bonne
Antique uncolored map of Tahiti by Bonne, published in 1787. As noted in the upper left corner, this map was created as a result of Captain Cook's first voyage. The larger portion of Tahiti is labeled "Opoureonu or O-Taiti nue" and the smaller portion is labeled "Tiarrabou or O-Taiti ete". There are three inset maps: Baye Matavai dans O-Taiti, Plan des Havres, and Carte des Marquises de Mendoce. A note on the right side says that the depths are in English measurements, which were different from French measurements- 8 English depth measurements equal 9 French depth measurements. Good to very good condition with some light spotting, a very light water stain at the bottom of the page, and toning at paper edges. Approx. 9.25 x 13.5 inches to the neat lines.

Antique Nautical Chart of part of Indonesia from 1884 by the British Admiralty. Shows the navigational information for Gaspar Strait between Banka and Billiton islands, now spelled Belitung and Bangka, and connecting the South China Sea to the Java Sea. Includes three recognition profiles. Soundings are in fathoms. All bearings are magnetic. Plate mark is visible. Has hand-drawn navigation lines in pencil by previous owner. Good antique condition with minor spotting and or smudges, darker area at top, a few repaired tears at edges, and small tear at right edge. Approx. 38 x 26 inches

Antique uncolored map of Tahiti by Bellin, published c. 1780. This map was created as a result of Captain Cook's first voyage during which he visited Tahiti in 1769. The larger portion of Tahiti is labeled "Opoureonu or O taheite nue" and the smaller portion is labeled "Tiarrabou or Otaheite ete". Very good condition with a few minor spots, a few ver small holes, and a tight margin in the lower right. With folds as issued. Approx. 9 x 15.5 inches to the neat lines.

Antique uncolored map designed and published by Ernest Dudley Chase, copyright 1944. This graphic and detailed map shows from India to California and from Alaska to Australia. This map shows the locations of naval bases, islands owned by the British, the US, the Dutch, and Japan, as well as railroads, country boundaries, and more. An inset map shows the Philippines. Dudley Chase republished this map in conjunction with the Fairfield and Ellis Insurance Company with some changes and updates in 1945 after the war was over. This is the original 1944 version. Good to very good condition with toning in the right quarter of the map, minor edge wear, and some light stains throughout. Approx. 16 x 23 inches to the neatline. **SOLD**
