Quality hand crafted water colored print produced in Europe on heavy textured paper of the famous Tabula Anemographica seu Pixus Nautica, vulgo Compass Chart, originally made in 1650, shows the direction of and types of wind throughout the day, in a number of languages including German, Latin, French, Dutch, Italian and Greek. Made using a combination of modern technology and traditional methods, wherein an original is scanned, its likeness is digitally etched onto an engraving plate, then the plate is used to print the image in the traditional way, with a printing press. The map is then hand colored. This colorful chart of the winds and four seasons measures approximately 21"h x 24"w. For other reproductions made in this method, please see the left side bar category "Digitally Engraved Specialty Reproductions".
