Antique hand colored map of Oceania (also called Oceanica) and the Pacific Ocean. Shows Australia as New Holland, and many of the Pacific Islands as being part of the "Friendly Islands Society." One island is labeled as "Island said to be discovered by the Spaniards in 1773." Very good condition with some toning/foxing of the antique paper. By A. Arrowsmith, in A New General Atlas, 1817. Measures approximately 8" x 10" to the neat line.
