The large scale of 1.5 miles per inch allowed the representation of exquisite topographic detail, with symbols indicating hills, ponds, lakes and streams. Also shows extraordinary detail of cities, towns, roads, routes and railroads, significant landmarks, grist and saw mills, churches, schools, post offices, as well as public buildings and individual dwellings.
