Antique printed color page of two statistical maps of the United States, based on census data. The first map shows the average production of all grains, by number of bushels per acre of "improved land", in the U.S. in 1890. The second maps shows the average production of tobacco, by pounds per square mile, in relation to the entire are of tobacco-producing counties in the U.S. in 1890. Both maps label half of Oklahoma as "Indian Territory" and show much of the western U.S. as unsettled area. Very good condition with some mild toning of the antique paper. By Henry Gannett, in The Statistical Atlas of the United States- Eleventh Census, 1898. Measures approximately 17.75" x 13" to include both maps and their titles.
